The DIGITUS DN-CSP-015 Fiber Optic Splice Protection offers a secure way to reliably protect optical fibers after splicing. The fastening is purely mechanical, using a precise crimping process. Thanks to its compact design, the splice protector is perfect for cassettes and distributors with limited space. The fiber’s 900 µm secondary coating can be securely fixed, permanently protecting the sensitive splice point against tension, vibration and micromovements. Its ease of use makes the splice protector the ideal solution for field installation, for example in building cabling, FTTH installations or data centers. It is used to protect fiber splices in 19" distribution panels, floor and wall enclosures, as well as in fiber optic splice closures. Thanks to their excellent climatic and thermal properties, they are suitable for both enclosed and open environments. The protection thus ensures long-lasting resistance to crushing, tension and puncture.
