The IP-COM G1118P-16-250W has four operating modes that allow the switch’s behaviour to be adapted to the installation requirements. These modes make it easy to prioritise traffic, extend cabling distance or isolate ports to reduce broadcast storms.

Standard Mode: default mode; the switch operates as an unmanaged switch and all ports can communicate with each other
Priority Mode: ports 15, 16, SFP1 and SFP2 operate as uplinks, while ports 1 to 8 act as high-priority ports
Extender Mode: the speed of ports 9 to 14 is reduced to 10 Mbps and the maximum transmission distance can reach 250 metres
VLAN Mode: ports 1 to 14 communicate with ports 15, 16, SFP1 and SFP2, but not with each other, helping to reduce broadcast storms and isolate DHCP
