Thermal Grizzly's TG GPU Guard is a highly compressible foam gasket for the graphics chips (GPU) of graphics cards. It protects electronic components when liquid metal or other electrically conductive thermal interface materials are used and, at the same time, increases the service life of the liquid metal. The TG GPU Guard covers the surface-mounted devices (SMDs) next to the graphics chip and is minimally higher than the graphics chip itself. The highly compressible starting material is 0.8 mm high and can be compressed to 0.15 mm, easily compensating for differences in the height of the SMDs. Due to the contact pressure when mounting the cooler, the height difference between the PCB and the cooler is completely filled by the foam seal, preventing it from flowing onto other PCB components. In addition, the foam seal prevents oxygen from reaching the liquid metal, increasing its durability. The TG GPU Guard is resistant to gallium.
