The robust polyamide construction characteristic of the industrialPPC series and its advanced protection features make this fan ideal for the most demanding industrial applications. Three-phase motor design While most axial fans use single-phase motors with 4 slots, Noctua’s industrialPPC fans feature a three-phase, 6-slot design, which provides smoother transitions between slots and thus enables even smoother and quieter operation, reduced vibrations and unprecedented energy efficiency. Improved energy efficiency While the standard NF-F12 is one of the most efficient 120 mm, 1500 rpm fans, the industrialPPC version with its three-phase motor reduces power consumption by a further 10% compared with the 2000 rpm version. Glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide construction Both the rotor and frame of Noctua’s industrialPPC fans are made entirely of glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide. This makes the fans even more robust and resistant than standard glass-fibre-reinforced PBT fans. Certified IP67 water and dust protection The motor and printed circuit board (PCB) of the IP67 version are completely covered by a special, highly conductive resin that combines perfect protection with effective heat dissipation from the motor. Integrated anti-vibration pads The integrated anti-vibration pads, made of extra-soft silicone, minimise the transmission of minute vibrations while maintaining compatibility with all standard mounting systems and fan clips used on heatsinks. SSO2 bearings The NF-F12 industrialPPC features the second, further optimised generation of Noctua’s renowned and efficient SSO bearings. With SSO2, the rear magnet is positioned closer to the axle to provide improved stability, precision and durability. Metal bearing To ensure the highest possible degree of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerance and excellent long-term stability, the NF-F12 industrialPPC features a CNC-milled bearing made entirely of brass. Custom PWM IC with SCD Providing fully automatic PWM speed control, the NF-F12 industrialPPC uses the NE-FD2 PWM IC, specially designed by Noctua for three-phase motors. The NE-FD2 integrates Noctua’s patented Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which suppresses PWM switching noise and therefore makes the fan quieter at lower speeds. 6-year manufacturer’s warranty Noctua fans are known for their impeccable quality and long service life.
