The NH-D9L is a high-quality dual-tower CPU cooler designed to provide excellent quiet cooling performance at a height of just 110 mm. Thanks to its dimensions of 95 x 95 mm, the NH-D9L clears the RAM and PCIe slots on all Intel ITX motherboards and most AMD motherboards. The excellent NF-A9 fan included allows automatic PWM speed control, ensuring surprisingly quiet operation. In addition, an optional second NF-A9 fan can be added to improve performance in dual-fan mode. Low-profile tower design for improved airflow efficiency While most low-profile coolers push air towards the motherboard, the NH-D9L is a tower-style cooler that is tilted parallel to it, allowing greater airflow efficiency in cases with front intake and rear exhaust fans that create airflow parallel to the motherboard. 3U compatibility While classic 9 cm coolers up to 125 mm tall fit in 4U rackmount cases, the NH-D9L’s reduced height of just 110 mm allows it to be used in 3U chassis. This makes it ideal for noise-sensitive 3U applications in fields such as audio or video processing. 100% RAM compatibility Thanks to its dimensions of 95 x 95 mm, the NH-D9L does not overhang the RAM slots on current Intel motherboards and most AMD motherboards. This gives users full access to memory modules and guarantees 100% compatibility with tall heat spreaders or optional memory fans. 100% PCIe card compatibility on mini-ITX Many Intel LGA115x-based mini-ITX motherboards have PCIe slots located to the right of the 95 x 95 mm socket area. While larger coolers that extend beyond this area can block the PCIe slot, the NH-D9L, thanks to its dimensions of 95 x 95 mm, provides full compatibility with PCIe cards on ATX, microATX or ITX. High-quality NF-A9 fan The highly optimised NF-A9 fan features Noctua’s AAO frame, as well as sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, which improve on the renowned efficiency of Noctua’s previous 92 mm models and deliver superior cooling performance for the NH-D9L. PWM support and Low-Noise Adaptor The NH-D9L’s 92 mm NF-A9 fan supports PWM for convenient automatic speed control via the motherboard. In addition, the fan’s maximum speed can be reduced from 2000 to 1550 rpm for quieter operation by using the Low-Noise Adaptor. Dual-fan mode (optional) The NH-D9L includes an additional set of fan mounting clips so that users who want greater cooling performance can add an optional second NF-A9 to the front of the fin stack. Using the included Y-cable supplied with the NF-A9 PWM fan, both fans can be connected to a single CPU fan header. SecuFirm2™ mounting system Noctua’s SecuFirm2™ mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, safety and ease of use.
