Can operate without external power, or with the power supply
included for connecting USB devices.
10 times faster than the current standard USB 2.0.
Several USB hubs can be daisy-chained to provide service to 127
USB devices.
Compatible with all previous USB versions.
Compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux; no drivers required.
The 4-port USB 3.0 hub, DUB-1340, connects the new generation of devices
USB 3.0 devices such as printers, camcorders and USB hard drives to your computer at
the highest speeds. It has its own power supply to
supply power to connected USB devices, and is compatible with previous USB
standards, both USB 2.0 and USB 1.0.
Super speed USB 3.0
The D-Link DUB-1340 complies with the new USB 3.0 standard, which offers speeds
of up to 4.8 Gbps. This is 10 times faster than the current USB 2.0 standard. For
example, it lets you transfer a high-definition movie in about 70 seconds, or
100 images in 1 second.
Compatible with all USB standards
The DUB-1340 works with any USB device and is compatible with the
previous USB 1.0 and 2.0 standards. It is also compatible with OHCI (Open Host
Controller Interface) and EHCI (Enhanced Host Controller Interface).
Works without power or with the included power supply
This 4-port USB 3.0 hub supplies power to USB devices (such as
USB hard drives) through its power supply. This
is not necessary if the devices connected to the hub do not need to receive
power through the USB port. Thanks to this feature, the DUB-1340 is
truly a portable solution.
Expandable as needed
The DUB-1340 can be daisy-chained to provide additional USB 3.0 ports:
up to 42 hubs can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration for a total
of 125 available ports.
Works with any computer
The DUB-1340 works with Windows, Mac or Linux. The computer detects the USB hub and
installs the drivers automatically, so there is no need to have the
drivers on a CD or a USB flash drive.
